YRTC was on the floor in Worcester for the Massachusetts Republican Nominating Convention. Roughly 1,800 delegates from across the Commonwealth cast votes that narrowed the September 1 statewide primary ballot. Mike Minogue won the Governor endorsement with 70.4% of delegate votes; Brian Shortsleeve cleared the 15% threshold to remain on the ballot; Mike Kennealy was eliminated. Anne Brensley took the Lieutenant Governor endorsement with 56%; Anne Manning-Martin and Shawn Oliver both qualified for the primary ballot. John Deaton carries the party endorsement for U.S. Senate against Sen. Ed Markey.
