Massachusetts Campaign Finance Law

Individual contributions only. Massachusetts law (MGL c.55) prohibits contributions from corporations, business entities, and labor unions to political committees. Only individual U.S. citizens and permanent residents may contribute.

Contribution limits: There is no limit on individual contributions to town committees under Massachusetts law. However, all contributions of $50 or more must include the donor’s name, address, and occupation as required by OCPF reporting rules.
